Artist
Sherrin was born in Karachi, Pakistan, her family moved to England escaping religious and political upheaval. Raised in London, England, Sherrin, developed a strong sense of identity in a multicultural urban landscape. She attended Goldsmiths College, London University and worked as a writer/journalist whilst exhibiting in London galleries Brixton and Camden Town. She emigrated to the USA living and working in New York where she exhibited in galleries in Brooklyn and in Manhattan. She moved to, and now resides in San Diego, CA. Her work is an exploration of identity and contradiction as represented by texture, conflicting and restrained color with bold and yet simple composition.
